The Lakes Rookley is just 20 minutes from half of the beaches on the Isle of the Wight, making this the ideal resort for explorers of all kinds, including little ones and four-legged ones. Blackgang Chine - the UK’s oldest amusement park - is just up the road, as is Shanklin beach with its deckchairs and amusement arcades. When you’re not on the beach arguing over which family member to bury in the sand first, it’s easy to keep the kids entertained onsite. With family-friendly activities, entertainment throughout the school holidays, and an indoor and outdoor pool, you’ll be able to steal some time to yourselves. Looking for a luxury escape? Book into a Lakehouse and sip hot chocolate, snuggled in a blanket, as you watch dragonflies dance over the surface of the lake. Or go for a hot tub cottage and bubble away the end of the day with a glass in your hand. You deserve a break - check out what we have on offer for you.

The Lakeside Bar & Eatery
The place to eat, meet and relax
You're on holiday so let us do the cooking for you... You'll find a range of meals to suit every appetite and all age groups. From indulgent breakfasts and lite bites, to scrumptious salads and delicious evening meals. There'a also a hand-selected kids' menu with a variety of tasty and nutritious options.
In warmer weather enjoy a glass of something and a bite to eat on the veranda overlooking the lake.
COVID- 19 update: The Lakeside bar and eatery will be open and offering food from 4pm to 10pm, last food orders 9pm. Bookings are advised by calling 07879 468 332.
Scramble into fun
Brand new in 2019, and made of wood to sit in the natural lake setting, the adventure play area is a great place for children to meet and make friends with other kids as they climb and scramble around the course. They'll test their balancing skills as they walk the tightrope, or move from one swinging step to another... will they fall off and start again?
And the best bit, the veranda of The Lakeside bar and eatery overlooks the adventure play area, so you can enjoy an early evening drink on a warm summer's evening while the kids burn off all their energy before bedtime.
Currently closed, we are hoping to have it open soon, so keep checking back.
Outside swimming pool
Take a dip
When the warmer weather is here and the suns out, cool off with a relaxing dip in our outdoor pool. Or if you fancy reading a book, grab a lounger or chair and let the kids splash around or practice their swimming skills.
Our outdoor pool usually opens late spring (depending on whether we're enjoying spring sunshine or showers!) until the end of the summer season.
We're hoping to have this open from the 13 July, with strict measures in line with government guidelines to keep guests and staff safe. There will be no changing facilities so please turn up to the pool ready to go straight in - however disabled guests can use the changing facilities. It will be family 45 minute swimming sessions - please phone the activities number to book on resort.
Sit back, relax and let us entertainment you
Sadly, due to COVID-19 pandemic, our entertainment offering will not be running this year as part of our commitment to keeping you safe.
Keep checking back for information about 2021 holidays.
